Dedication:
May
all that is on this web site and all that is in the heart of the
designer be to the Glory of God, the Father, and Jesus Christ, his
only Son.
An Important Word From God:
John
1:12-13 "Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in
his name, he gave the right to become children of God - children born
not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband's will,
but born of God."

Concerned
About Global Warming?
There is good reason to
know that man made "pollutants" are not causing global
warming. In fact, the weather has control over CO2 and there are
twice as many polar bears now as there were in 1950!
Answers-in-Genesis and Coral Ridge Ministries got together to look at
the real evidence on this issue and the facts are dramatic. They show
that man is not influencing temperature by the creation of
"greenhouse gases." This team effort produced a very
informative 50 minute video, Global Warming: A Scientific and
Biblical Expose of Climate Change, that you can view for free or
purchase for $7.99 and download from the web (under "We Also
Recommend" toward the bottom of the
Answers In Genesis webpage). It is worth the effort. Become
informed before we are stuck with legislation that is completely
unnecessary, extremely expensive, and tax draining on everything we do.

A Blood Alcohol
Concentration (BAC) Estimator;
An Excel spreadsheet. Please drink responsibly.
Download BAC Calculator Now! (36kb)
I do not advocate the use of
Alcohol, but for those who do use it, here is a handy educational
tool that can be used to estimate the approximate level of Alcohol in
the blood after a given number of drinks at whatever level of Alcohol
content (proof) is appropriate. I used three sources to develop this
estimator: the National Highway Safety Administration formula, Duke
University and the University of Oklahoma. Details are in the spreadsheet.
NOTE: Many factors can enter
into the determination of a person's true Blood Alcohol Level. This
tool is for rough estimations only, as an educational tool, to show
the probable effects of levels of drinking and when it may be time to
quit for the evening. If you are seriously concerned about knowing
your BAC level when you are drinking (and anyone who drinks when they
may have to drive latter should be), get a personal BAC meter. Google
"BAC meter" for some places to purchase one. Office Max
even sells one for about $50.00. They are cheaper than a DUI ticket.
I assume no responsibility for how you may choose to use this
calculator, or the consequences of your actions, if you do. (Back

Ever
see a Minuteman ICBM launch?
I spent four years as a missile
combat crew commander for the Minuteman system. We had Minuteman I-Bs
which were not quite as sophisticated as the multiple warhead IIIs
seen in the video linked below, but they could do a job if needed. I
was on one of these tests, but our missile blew up as the second
stage ignited. This test went a lot better. I spent two years as a
Combat Crew Commander with the 320th Strategic Missile Squadron at
Frances E. Warren A.F.B. at Cheyenne Wyoming and two more years as an
Airborne Combat Crew Commander with the 4th Airborne Command and
Control Squadron (4th ACCS) at Ellsworth A.F.B. just outside of Rapid
City, South Dakota.

This YouTube
links is a TV live look inside a missile command control center. The
ones I worked in were configured a bit differently but were the same
size. (Back

YouTube videos of a
carrier style TBM Avenger (Tactical Bomber - Medium) that visited the
Bolingbrook Cavalcade of Planes sponsored by the Illinois Aviation
Museum at Bolingbrook's Clow International Airport June 7, 2009. This
reconditioned TBM Avenger bears the tail number of "63"
which was George H.W. Bush's plane number (he flew this model in
WWII).

- 2
year Bible study program (PDF):
"There are many plans available to guide
you in daily reading from your Bible - books, devotional pamphlets,
daily lectionaries, etc. I am please to pass on to you in this
newsletter a daily reading program prepared by Mel Hansen for his
personal use.
"The advantage of Mel's program is that it
takes you through the entire Bible in two years - with the right
emphasis! It provides heavy emphasis on the story of Jesus and the
teaching about him in the New Testament.
"You won't find another program quite like
this. Use it. Enjoy it."
