Dear It has been some time now since we have had the benefit of your presence in the worship and life of the church. You, and the talents which the Lord has given you, are truly missed. We hope that you are still actively practicing the faith in Christ Jesus that you professed when you joined our congregation. It may be that the many duties and tasks of our contemporary hectic life have simply gotten in the way of the routine that you had when we shared worship and church life together an a frequent basis. We want to be of encouragement to you. We urge you to continue, or renew, an active, practicing faith through prayer and Bible study. It is also our desire to know that you are receiving the nurturing and sustaining strength for your faith that comes through regular worship and association with fellow believers. If your life just seems too busy these days to come to worship, ask our Lord for help. Christ misses your presence more than we can express. We fully believe that He will help you make time to join us in worshipping Him, if that is your heart's desire and if you ask. Our primary concern is for your spiritual journey through this life and into the next. We would urge that you return to regular worship, either with us or with a fellowship of Christian believers that will best meet your needs. If you have found worship and a relationship with another congregation to be more fruitful to you than that which you experienced here, then that would reassure us that you are active in your spiritual life. If you intend to continue in that new church relationship, it is appropriate that you ask that Pastor to request a transfer of your membership, so that you have the benefit of mutual commitment with others of that fellowship. Such a transfer will be sent with our sorrow at the loss of your fellowship with us, but also with the joy of knowing that you are in fellowship with Christian believers and worshipping our God. However you choose to go about it, it is our desire and prayer that you be active in the Church of Jesus Christ, in companionship with believers who base their faith, as we do, on the redeeming work of the One who died that we might truly live, and who rose again to prove that His claims are real. In Christ's love, we are
